Jan Hakim

Jan is an author and English-Indonesian translator. Her short stories published in Indonesian media. Currently–like many people who want to be a writer–she is struggling working on her first novel.

As a self-employed translator, she experienced work with construction consultant company to translating technical document. She also work together with several Indonesian publishers as novel translator with language pair from English to Indonesian. Some novels translated to Indonesian by Jan: The War I Finally Won by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley, The Lie Tree by Francis Hardinge, Here We Lie by Paula Treick DeBoard. She likes reading–if that isn’t obvious–either visual novel, comic, or novel, but especially Japanese comic. She also likes watching anime, listening to seiyū, or cross-stitching. Say hi to her either you want to talk about anime or interested making something with her!
